Metro is testing out a new air filtration system in subway cars that it hopes will help to rebuild public faith in public transit.
The pilot project will evaluate enhanced air filtration systems designed to combat airborne pathogens such as the coronavirus. The pandemic has drastically limited ridership on Metro since the outbreak began in March.
