‘Food in Transit’ program to provide free, locally-grown produce in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — "Food in Transit" program provides Hoosiers with fresh groceries on the go. IndyGo, the City of Indianapolis and Growing Places Indy announced the launched of their seventh consecutive Food in Transit initiative. This engaging outreach series aims to expand access to food for Indianapolis residents by bringing fresh, healthy and locally grown produce to the Julia M. Carson Transit Center, located at 201 E. Washington St., on Thursdays from 2 to 5 p.m., during peak ridership hours
