A division of Ford Motor Co. is vying to make walking down sidewalks safer in the new year.
The automaker’s micromobility unit, Spin, is deploying computer-vision-powered e-scooters that can detect if riders are using them on sidewalks. The rollout is expected to kick off in the United States and the United Kingdom in 2021, the company announced Thursday.
