May Mobility announced the launch of its first driverless service for riders on public roads in Sun City, Arizona. May Mobility’s “rider-only vehicles” will run daily without an operator sitting in the driver's seat. The company’s move to driverless is another signal that the AV tech space overall is maturing even while some companies are struggling. May Mobility’s customer approach is unique and serves as an interesting counterpoint to recent upheaval in the robotaxi space.
