In the first four months of an effort by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to expand transportation services for substance use disorder treatment and recovery services, more than 4,100 rides have been provided to individuals in need. The ride program is designed to help reduce drug-related overdose deaths and decrease overdose racial disparities in the state.
