Tuesday, October 27 – 1:00 p.m. Central
Public transportation will be used on November 3 for its typical community contributions of getting people to work, school and the rest of their daily life, but it is also – for many – their only way to exercise their constitutional right to vote. What questions and concerns are keeping you up at night as you think about current and future civil unrest and how communities may respond? This Peer-to-Peer discussion designed for SWTA members will allow transit agencies to uncover the best safety, operations and communication plans to make public transit the safe option for all. This session is intended to address the question, "How will we keep our customers and drivers safe during potential civil unrest on election day and the days to follow?"
