Part 2: More Mobility, Stronger Connections: Transactional Data Specifications in Practice

May 6, 2021 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm EDT

Join NADTC and AARP’s Public Policy Institute for a 2-part series on Transactional Data Specifications (TDS).

Demand-response transportation (DRT) often fills the gaps in transportation for those who cannot drive.  DRT is typically door-to-door service and can include Dial-a-Ride, ADA complementary paratransit, volunteer driver programs, or even taxis and ride-hailing services like Uber and Lyft. For the customer, scheduling on one or many of these options can be difficult.  That’s where TDS comes in.

Part 2: More Mobility, Stronger Connections: Transactional Data Specifications in Practice

This second session in this series will feature the work done using Transactional Data Specifications in rural Lake County, Oregon. Lake County, Oregon is a frontier county with 2 non-profits that provide the only demand-responsive transportation in the area.  They have overlapping territories and many of the same clients. Learn how they committed to collaboration that relies on TDS to coordinate rides and reduce duplication and how implementation has impacted their services and clients.
