NCMM Welcomes New Communications Associate

  • Author: Sage Kashner

Sage Kashner recently joined the NCMM team as the Communications Associate.

Sage is passionate about accessible transit and all of the ways that it can improve people’s lives. They bring experience managing communications strategy, writing, and doing graphic design. In previous positions Sage has worked on educational technology for working parents, done community organizing, and written about the socio-economic situation for LGBT+ people in the United States.

“Starting at NCMM is a whole new beginning for me. I spent the last four years living in Maine and using a car to get around was often necessary, so being in DC where the transit system is robust and cheap is wonderful. The accessibility of transit here is wonderful, but metropolitan areas shouldn’t be the only places with accessible transit.

“I have never worked in mobility management before, but NCMM’s mission to “advance good health, economic vitality, self-sufficiency, and community,” is something I care about deeply. Getting to learn about mobility management and the newest tools and strategies while working towards better opportunities and access for people is phenomenal.”

Sage is responsible for developing our robust communications strategy and is going to be working on our newsletter, blog, and website. If you have any ideas or questions about any of our blogs or newsletters, please don’t hesitate to reach out to them. They can be reached at kashner@ctaa.org.
