In these times of rapid and unprecedented change, the critical need for urgent action in advancing greater workforce diversity and development, innovation and continuous learning, and “people-readiness” at all levels has risen to new levels. Climate change, growing inequality, increasing digitalization, new players and business models highlight the critical role of transportation careers in community-building and achieving equity-centered and sustainable outcomes. TRB will host the second webinar in this series on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Eastern that will focus on the concepts of sustainable mobility and transport and all that it encompasses. Presenters will discuss the importance of the transportation workforce’s role in equity-centered sustainability, environmental justice considerations, and the Zero Emissions Vehicle (ZEV) program.

The first webinar in this series, The Future Transportation Workforce is Happening Now!, will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. The third webinar in this series, Transportation Equity: Community-Building in Action, will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
