Riders in Fairfield and Sonoma County in San Francisco’s Bay Area are set to experience upgraded on-time transit connections following a new partnership deal.
The Routing Company (TRC), a global on-demand vehicle routing and management platform and Swiftly, a transit data platform, have announced a joint approach that they claim will ‘dramatically’ improve first- and last-mile connections.
The partnership leverages the real time transit feed specification or “GTFS-rt” data usage across more transit modes in TRC’s customer deployments, thereby enabling TRC’s Transit Connect feature to work – meaning more options and on-time connections for passengers.
