GOTrenton!: A New Electric Micro-Transit System to Improve Sustainable Mobility

  • Date: 09/28/2023

GOTrenton!, the new micro-transit system in Trenton, the capital of New Jersey, is being introduced for the first time. Developed by the local organization Isles, dedicated to addressing transportation and environmental issues, this community-driven service aims to provide residents with safe and affordable transportation options while also addressing the city’s air quality issues.

GOTrenton! is the first and only fully electric on-demand transportation service in the state of New Jersey. The service will operate through an app called Circuit, which will allow residents to request a ride from a fleet of five electric cars driven by professional drivers. Each ride will cost $2, with the first ride being free. This program is designed to fill the gaps between public transportation and provide low-cost sustainable transportation options to promote daily mobility and independence for Trenton residents.
