Livingston County, in partnership with local non-profit Livingston County Cares, has launched a new initiative to improve transportation access for vulnerable residents, it was announced on April 18, 2024. Funded by grants from the Rochester Area Community Foundation and the Marjorie Harding Memorial Fund, the program aims to cover transportation costs that are not supported by other means, enhancing access to essential services.
The initiative extends the county’s mobility management efforts, targeting support for low-income families, seniors, veterans, and others who need assistance to reach medical appointments, job interviews, and educational opportunities.
