The "age of hyperloop" is just "years away", according to Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HyperloopTT) chief marketing officer Robert Miller.
Miller told the Hong Kong Trade Development Council's Belt and Road Summit that things are moving forward.
"We've seen this go from really just a concept to reality," he said. "We've built a full scale prototype in Toulouse, France, there are a number of projects around the world and other companies in the industry. And there's the first government project in Italy to build a 10km hyperloop system.
"We're at the point where it's not if hyperloop, it's when hyperloop. We're only years away from living and riding in the age of hyperloop. We've built it and it's happening."
