February 7th was a big day for the Transit Bus business. The White House hosted a roundtable for industry leaders to discuss the ongoing bus procurement crisis, including a discussion on climate goals for the industry as well as funding and acquisition issues. On the heels of this session came a Dear Colleague letter from the Federal Transportation Administration, putting forth tips and recommendations tackling the procurement crisis and introducing a new Notice of Funding Availability to support transit agencies and strengthen bus manufacturing. CTAA’s Executive Director Scott Bogren participated in the White House session, advocating for our members and asking the important questions: How can we make vehicles more readily available and at reasonable price points? At this members-only session, we'll talk about CTAA’s legislative priorities with regard to the bus crisis, FTA’s newest NOFO, and the Dear Colleague letter– as well as what this all means for our members.
