As part of a strategic move to bolster the public transportation system in Lancaster-Fairfield, Fairfield County is poised to assume control of the Lancaster-Fairfield Public Transit System starting July. Spearheading this transition, the Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities, under the guidance of Superintendent David Uhl, has pledged a generous donation of $100,000. This contribution is part of a larger $890,000 grant awarded to Fairfield DD, designated for the advancement of accessible transportation initiatives, marking a significant step towards the improvement and sustained operation of the public transit services in the region.
